Prescription Required
Due to FDA regulations, a prescription from a licensed physician is required when purchasing a new CPAP, Auto CPAP or BiLevel (BiPAP) machine. Other CPAP equipment may require a prescription if it has been marked Rx REQUIRED by the manufacturer.
A CPAP prescription must state that it is for CPAP therapy and at what pressure your machine should be set. If you are purchasing a CPAP machine, then the prescription must show one pressure setting, which is a number between 4 and 20 and measured in cm of H2O. If you are purchasing an Auto CPAP machine, then your prescription must state two different pressures: A high pressure setting and a low pressure setting. If you are purchasing a BiLevel machine, then your prescription must state two pressure settings: An inspiratory setting and an expiratory setting. A prescription for other items must state what that item is in the prescription. For example, a mask must state "MASK" or "CPAP MASK" in the prescription. The prescription must also have the doctors signature and the patients full name.
Once we have a copy of your prescription it will be filed away and you will not have to submit another prescription for future orders.
Please note a prescription must be obtained BEFORE we can ship out any CPAP or BiLevel machines.
